Hand rejuvenation in Gdańsk

Hand rejuvenation with fillers and laser treatment

Table of Contents

Hand rejuvenation includes different approaches to volume loss, skin texture and pigmentation. At Tartaczna 2 Medical Centre in Gdańsk, we assess suitability for hyaluronic acid treatment and laser procedures. These methods have different aims and do not always need to be combined.

How do hands change with age?

The skin may become thinner, while veins and tendons become more visible as underlying support decreases. Sun exposure also contributes to spots and uneven texture. A new or changing pigmented lesion needs assessment before cosmetic treatment.

Hand rejuvenation with fillers and laser treatment

    Hyaluronic acid fillers for hands

An appropriate filler may restore volume on the backs of the hands and soften selected irregularities. It fills tissue space and binds water; it does not regenerate your own fat layer.

Your doctor selects the product and tissue layer. Swelling, bruising and tenderness may occur after injections. The result is assessed once these settle and is temporary.

    Laser hand rejuvenation

Fractional CO₂ laser may be considered for selected texture changes and signs of sun damage. Controlled skin injury triggers healing and tissue remodelling. It does not replace lost volume in the way a filler does.

Pigmentation needs a diagnosis first. Suspicious moles or other lesions requiring investigation should not be destroyed with a laser without assessment.

    Preparation and healing

Discuss previous procedures, medicines, allergies and healing problems. Infection, damaged skin or contraindications to the selected product or laser may require postponement or a different approach. Elective cosmetic treatment is deferred during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Do not stop medication yourself.

Laser treatment requires wound care and sun protection. Hand skin may heal more slowly than facial skin. Limit contact with irritating detergents, injury and activities placing strain on the area as instructed. Returning to manual work depends on the procedure and healing.

    Results and possible complications

Laser-induced remodelling continues over weeks and months. The number of sessions and any further filler treatment are individual. Treatment does not stop ageing.

Laser risks include infection, prolonged redness, pigmentation changes and scarring. Filler may cause lumps, asymmetry or inflammation, and rarely compromised skin circulation. Severe increasing pain, skin blanching, pus or fever requires prompt assessment.
