Peptide scalp mesotherapy involves placing a product into superficial layers of the scalp through multiple small injections. Depending on the formulation, it may contain peptides and other ingredients such as hyaluronic acid. It may be considered as an adjunct for selected hair concerns.
Thinning can result from pattern hair loss, temporary telogen shedding, scalp disease, hormonal problems or nutritional deficiencies. Injections are not appropriate for every cause. The doctor reviews your history, examines the scalp and recommends further investigation when needed.
Scarring hair loss, pain, inflammation or sudden bald patches need a diagnosis. Mesotherapy cannot recreate follicles destroyed by scarring.

The aim is to support scalp and hair condition in suitable patients. Scientific evidence for peptide formulations is limited and varies with ingredients and the route of use. Results from a topical cosmetic cannot automatically be applied to injections.
The procedure does not replace treatment of the cause or therapies with established evidence for your diagnosis. Regrowth, a particular increase in density or permanently stopping hair loss cannot be guaranteed.
After preparing the scalp, the doctor gives small injections into selected areas. Injections can be painful; measures to reduce discomfort are tailored individually. The number and spacing of sessions depend on the product, scalp condition and response.
Changes in hair density are assessed over months, ideally with comparative photographs or measurements. Results should not be promised after the first session.

Bring previous results and a list of medicines, supplements and scalp treatments. Report allergies, bleeding disorders and long-term conditions. Do not stop medicines yourself. Active infection, damaged skin and allergy to an ingredient are contraindications. Elective cosmetic procedures are deferred during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Tenderness, redness, mild swelling or bruising may occur. Infection and allergic reactions are less common. Follow the advice on when to wash your hair, avoid irritating products and do not scratch injection sites. Your doctor will advise when to resume exercise and sauna use.
Increasing pain, pus or a persistent skin reaction requires review.
