Dr Kamil Drucis is a specialist in general surgery and surgical oncology. He graduated from the Medical Academy of Gdańsk, now the Medical University of Gdańsk.

His clinical interests include melanoma, breast cancer, benign breast conditions and advanced cancer. He has authored or co-authored more than 90 scientific publications in journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, The Lancet Oncology, European Journal of Surgical Oncology and World Journal of Surgery.

He runs and contributes to Polish oncology websites. He has given lectures to medical and non-medical audiences, including Reuters and Gdańsk City Council, and has contributed chapters to scientific textbooks, including a publication on the development of medical diagnostics using infrared detection.

Awards and consultations

In 2013, he received the Forbes Professional award in the Doctor category. In 2018, he took second place in the Surgeon of the Year category of the Hipokrates Pomorza poll organised by Dziennik Bałtycki.
