Magdalena E. Korożan, MD, PhD

Dr Magdalena E. Korożan is a specialist in medical oncology and radiation oncology, and a radiobiologist. She has devoted her career to treating and caring for people with cancer, gaining experience in Poland and abroad. She graduated from the Medical University of Gdańsk and studied Radiation Biology at University College London.

She worked for many years in the Department of Oncology and Radiology at the Medical University of Gdańsk, now the University Clinical Centre. She also worked with the Father E. Dutkiewicz Hospice, where she conducted several dozen clinical studies on cancer pain treatment. She previously also collaborated with the Medical Oncology Department in Grudziądz and the NU-MED Radiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre in Elbląg.

She is currently a member of the multidisciplinary tumour board at the 7th Naval Hospital in Gdańsk, on Polanki Street, and collaborates with Kociewskie Centrum Zdrowia hospital in Starogard Gdański.

Her clinical interests encompass a range of cancers, with a particular focus on prostate, breast and gynaecological cancers.

Teaching and professional experience

She shares her knowledge with medical students and oncologists through lectures, conferences and medical symposia in Europe and the United States, including events organised by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

She is a co-founder and director of Tartaczna 2 Medical Centre, where she provides oncology consultations and supports patients through diagnosis and treatment. She also oversees the clinical and logistical operations of the Breast Clinic at Tartaczna 2 Medical Centre.
